Winscombe Folk Club

Non-profit making acoustic club that exists to encourage fellowship through music or spoken word performance. We meet monthly on the fourth Tuesday in the upstairs bar of Winscombe Club 7 Sandford Road, Winscombe. Doors open at 7.30 for an 8.00 start. There’s a £2 entry fee to pay for the room hire.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

Often seen around Cheddar rescuing injured climbers etc., the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance helicopter is deployed on average 2-3 times a day and costs £3,800 per day to run with no funding from the Government or the National Lottery. Support this registered charity by playing the Flight for Life Lottery.

Avon and Somerset Cliff Rescue – emergency search and rescue volunteers for the Cheddar Gorge area

Royal National Lifeboat Institute – Winscombe Branch (area around Winscombe from Nailsea in the north through Winscombe south to Wedmore and east from Winscombe through Cheddar, Priddy, Wells, Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury to Street).
