The 1st Cheddar Scout Group’s Headquarter is available for hire at reasonable rates for periods from 1 night to several weeks.
Location
The Headquarters is located near the centre of the village which has a population of 5500 and is minutes from the famous gorge, show caves and Mendip Hills. Close by are good facilities, shops, supermarket and leisure centre with an indoor heated swimming pool.
Premises
Modern brick built building with gas heating and cooking, water heating, refrigerator / freezer, ample tables and chairs. Please supply your own pots, pans, cutlery, crockery etc.

Mendip Hills – half mile. Caves, nature trails, walks including 30 mile Mendip Way.
Quantock Hills – 40 minute drive. Excellent wild walking country, Red Deer.
Wells – 8 miles. Cathedral, Bishop’s Palace with Moat, Leisure Centre with indoor pool.
Weston super Mare – 10 miles. Beach, amusements, pier, swimming pool, hospital.
Wookey Hole – 6 miles. Caves, gorge, paper mill, museum.
